IMPORTANCE OF ACCURATE INFORMATION WHILE WORKING

DEFINE DEVELOPMENT :

The most applicable definition is “ Development is TECHNOLOGY”.

If Development is Technology, then we are developed. But it is not so, cause all war fares or technological hazards are due to technology. Cause now is the phase when we require to stop for a while in exploring new alternatives and make our current technological systems more sophisticated. So the more appropriate definition of Development for the present generation would be “Development is when we have the maturity to use technology.” A person having a crore rupees is not rich, but if the person knows how to invest that money, then he definitely is, cause if he doesn’t, he will exhaust everything. While working in office, while entering data into an excel sheet, we often make spelling mistakes, we use wrong cases, write long reasons in cells which require precise information. These practices do help us in finishing our days work, but can cause long term losses to our organization. We must be proud of having such wonderful infrastructure here at NOC. Such powerful tools such as MOS5100, MOS7100 and M2000. But more than introduction of new features in the same our focus should be on bringing these tools on a perfectly ideal state. By resolving Data related issues, we would easily be able to get into the stage of automating our processes. Also it will help in implementation of Auto TT .

Some points we should always remember while working:

· Always have a pattern while doing a repetitive task. Use common spellings and cases.

· While working on a task where you have to compare data between two worksheets, always have a common field or relationship between both the databases.

· Always have a separate column of remarks where you can type a detailed reason.

· While talking of Outage reports, always have a fixed list of reasons and try to put the reason which you get on the telephone in one of the fixed categories.

These are some points which will be helpful to our organization. Let us correct our approach of working and focus on optimizing our current systems by these small practices.
